Harry started working for Pelham Puppets in 1951 on the sales side.

He worked as a demonstrator in stores such as Hamley's, Harrods and Selfridges until 1975.

Talking about his retirement he says "Nothing has given me greater pleasure than to watch the delight on children's faces when a puppet is demonstrated displaying all their little tricks"

He also says that "the puppets themselves have been my friends"
